Get ready for a new co-star couple (kind of). Gossip Girl actress Leighton Meester will soon be on the silver screen with her husband, ‘00s teen heartthrob Adam Brody.

Meester’s new ABC show Single Parents will feature a guest appearance by Brody, whose character has a different storyline compared to his real life marriage. Brody will play Meester’s ex-boyfriend—a musician who broke her heart—on the show, according to People.

In reality, Meester and Brody are still going strong after nearly five years of marriage. Fans of Gossip Girl and The O.C. were invested in the couple’s relationship due to their characters on their respective shows.

The two joked around previously about fans’ support of their marriage. “Once a year, randomly, on our Seth and Blair day,” Brody said to Entertainment Tonight. “It’s good for a laugh.”

“It doesn’t excite us, I think, because we’re just human beings…” Meester added. “But it’s exciting to us that it’s exciting to you. It’s cool.”

It will be the third time the couple appears on a show together. They were previously co-stars in two films: 2011’s The Oranges and 2014’s Life Partners.

The episode will air in May.
