Luke Bryan wants to do more than just Crash The Party. The country superstar teased this weekend that he would offer up his services to officiate the wedding between Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani—with hopes that it happens soon.
The “Crash My Party” singer told Entertainment Tonight at the ACM Awards on Sunday, April 15, that he would be “honored” to officiate the couple’s someday wedding. Bryan and Shelton are longtime friends in the country music industry, so the “Light It Up” singer has gotten to know Stefani quite well.
“If Blake were smart, he would marry her before she goes to an optometrist,” Bryan added in the same interview. “Every time I meet Gwen, she’s holding her phone way out here to read. I’m like, ‘That’s it, she can’t see!’”
Shelton, meanwhile, told CMT on Sunday night that the thought of a future wedding has crossed his mind. “I think about [marrying her]. I don’t think it’s anytime soon or anything,” Shelton noted of Stefani. “The more time that goes by, I guess, the closer you’d be getting to that.”
For Stefani, there isn’t much dispute that Shelton is her person. “He’s gotten sexier,” she told Ellen DeGeneres last week. “It just keeps getting better and cuter and more country.”
She added, “I love weddings. The kids love him. Everybody loves him.”
