Small and sweet is Mandy Moore’s wedding style. The actress spoke out about her engagement to Taylor Goldsmith and their potential ceremony plans at the season 2 premiere of This Is Us on Tuesday, September 26.
“This is my second go-round,” Moore told Us Weekly and other reporters this week. “I feel like I eloped before and I think I’ll probably keep it very small again. I’ve never been the girl that wanted to wear a white dress. No judgement, but it’s not for me. I think it’ll be just as small with family and friends.”
Other stars who’ve recently opted for low-key second weddings include Miranda Kerr and Idina Menzel, both of whom chose to marry in their backyards.
The Tangled star said not much has changed since Goldsmith proposed. “People are asking me more about my relationship than before,” she said. “But it feels the same, which I guess is how it should be.”
Moore was previously married to rocker Ryan Adams, but the couple separated in 2013. The future bride’s This Is Us co-stars were the ones to confirm her engagement last week. “I was just in the studio with her her boyfriend. Well, now fiancé Taylor,” Chris Sullivan told ET on September 13. “She just sent out an alert over our family text chain, so I can’t wait to hear about it. She just sent a photo and just wanted us all to know that this just happened, and so then we went on a response spree for about a day and a half.”
Her TV husband Milo Ventimiglia also spoke out in full support of Goldsmith this week, telling Ellen DeGeneres: “Taylor is the kindest soul as is Mandy. She’s, like, the most beautiful of human beings, so the two of them to come together. It’s right. We’re all very happy.”
