She’s arrived! Just in time for the holidays, Meghan Markle has been publicly accompanying her fiancé, Prince Harry, to numerous family events following their engagement announcement on November 27. The latest social outing being a rather important one during the holiday season: the Queen’s annual Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace.
Markle was photographed alongside Prince Harry, who drove from Kensington Palace on Wednesday, December 20. For the occasion, the Suits actress appropriately chose a piece by British brand, Self-Portrait, which is a favorite amongst celebs.
Prince William and Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, along with Prince George and Princess Charlotte, arrived shortly before the future newlyweds drove up.
Markle and Harry were joined by dozens of royal family members, including Harry and William’s father Prince Charles and their stepmother, Duchess of Cornwall Camilla. The brothers’ cousins, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice were also there for the festive annual gathering.
Harry and Markle will wed on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.
“His family has been so welcoming. On both sides of the family. His mom’s side as well, which has been really good to me,” Markle said in her BBC interview. “We’ve had a really nice time getting to know them.”
According to the prince, Markle is well-acquainted by now with most people. “We’ve actually done incredibly well to make sure you got to know the key people,” he said in the same sit-down.
