Princess Eugenie’s wedding was celebratory for many, many reasons beyond her new marriage to Jack Brooksbank.
Kensington Palace officially confirmed early Monday that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting their first child together, and it turns out that the entire royal family found out about the happy baby news at Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s nuptials on Friday, October 12.
Markle, 37, was spotted enthusiastically conversing with Princess Anne while waiting for the bride to arrive to St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. It’s believed that Markle was discussing her baby news with the working royal as they caught up at the wedding as several body language experts noted baby-related signals.

According to numerous reports, the couple told direct family members about their expectant news directly in person, which means Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, as well as Kate Middleton and Prince William found out during the nuptials.
The palace’s official statement read: “Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”
