The date is official! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have secured an official date for their wedding, Kensington Palace announced Friday, December 15.

The wedding of the year will take place on Saturday, May 19, 2018. “Today’s announcement follows earlier confirmation of the month of the wedding and its location at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle,” the palace added in its statement.

Meanwhile, the future bride visited her wedding venue on Thursday, December 14, for a surprise appearance at Queen Elizabeth II’s staff Christmas party.

The venue itself holds 800 people, a huge downsize from William and Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton’s wedding at Westminster Abbey, which can host up to 2,000 guests.
