It’s shaping up to be a busy month for Meghan Markle. After attending her first public event with Prince Harry this weekend, the Suits actress has supposedly received the coveted invitation to attend Pippa Middleton’s wedding ceremony to James Matthews at St Mark’s Church next weekend.
The Telegraph reported on Monday, May 8, that the bride has made an exception for Markle to attend her wedding ceremony with her royal in-law. The bride-to-be, 33, previously reinforced a “no ring, no bring” policy, preventing Markle from attending the nuptials with Prince Harry.
In the interim, the bride and groom graciously extended a reception invitation to other family members and friends who weren’t able to witness the actual ceremony.
Now, Markle will be allowed to witness the formal wedding held at the bride’s childhood church. The intimate ceremony will likely include several delightful moments like Prince George walking down the aisle as a Page Boy and adorable Princess Charlotte serving as a bridesmaid.
It still remains unknown whether Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton will have a role in the ceremony, but the mom of two is confirmed to attend the festivities with husband Prince William and other members of the family. Following the reception, the night will reportedly end with an intimate after-party with only the bride and groom’s inner circle in attendance. Markle is also expected to join the third and final event with Prince Harry, according to E! News.
Scotland’s leading wedding planner Katie Balmer previously opened up to The Knot about what to expect from the couple’s highly-publicized wedding this weekend. “Team Middleton will have precision-planned every key stage in the day, most likely organizing some entertainment to engage and delight,” Balmer noted to us.
The Telegraph also reported on Monday, May 8, that Markle has every reason to attend the wedding festivities this weekend, especially since her television series isn’t filming in Toronto as usual.
This will not be Harry and Markle’s first time attending a wedding together. The pair flew to Jamaica in March to witness the nuptials between Prince Harry’s longtime friend Tom Inskip and Lara Hughes-Young.
