When Meghan Markle scrambled to find a replacement for her father to walk her down the aisle on her wedding day, Prince Charles graciously stepped in to accompany his future daughter-in-law through St. George’s Chapel. That wasn’t his only gift to Markle on her wedding day.
The former Suits star has since stepped out on numerous occasions wearing a delicate diamond tennis bracelet, and it was confirmed on Tuesday, October 23, that the piece was a wedding gift from Prince Charles.
The Sun’s royal correspondent confirmed that Charles gifted the piece to Markle ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry. She stepped out with the bangle adorning her wrist on the evening before her wedding day.
She again appropriately sported the piece at Prince Charles’s 70th birthday celebration held at Buckingham Palace.
She’s since opted to only wear the jewel during select occasions like her current tour with Prince Harry across Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand.
She wore the piece to an official State Dinner in Fiji on Tuesday night, and again, earlier in the day for another outing.
The tour has been rather adorable for the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex, who announced they’re expecting their first child together on the first day of their trip.

“All over the world Fiji is renowned for its incredible natural beauty and hospitality. We, as a couple, feel very lucky to be spending part of our tour as your guests.” — swipe to watch The Duke of Sussex speaking at tonight’s State Dinner, which was hosted by the President of Fiji for The Duke and Duchess. #RoyalVisitFiji #Fiji #Suva
This has been their first joint tour together following their wedding in May. At the time, the couple opted for a charity registry in lieu of physical gifts (since presumably, much of everything they need is already available in Kensington Palace and their other homes).
