Life imitates art, indeed. With less than 50 days until the Royal Wedding of 2018, fans of Meghan Markle got their first preview of the actress in a wedding gown on Friday, March 30.

Markle’s Suits character Rachel Zane will marry longtime love, associate Mike Ross (played by Patrick J. Adams), in the season 7 finale of the legal drama. Entertainment Weekly obtained the first preview of the bride-to-be walking down the aisle in her on-screen nuptials, and of course she looks resplendent.

In accompanying photos, Markle’s character Zane walks down the aisle in an ivory gown with a ball-gown style skirt. The dress itself includes a dipped back and includes a dainty black embellishment at the waist.

Adams spoke out about the pending, on-screen nuptials while chatting with The Hollywood Reporter in January. “I think Mike and Rachel are two characters that there has never been any question that they’re in love and that they’re meant for each other,” he said at the time, “and that they’re willing to go to great lengths and sacrifice a ton in order to keep their relationship going.”

Meanwhile, details about Markle’s actual wedding dress remain hush-hush, though it’s largely speculated that she will choose a British designer and it could very likely be couture brand Ralph & Russo. Markle chose the designer for one of her engagement session looks at Frogmore House at Windsor Castle, which will be the site of her reception after she weds Prince Harry on May 19.

It’s believed that the Suits cast has been invited to the nuptials, which will be held at the Queen’s part-time home. On the topic of Markle’s whirlwind romance with Harry, her co-star Adams opined on seeing the relationship unfold from his perspective.

“With Meghan, a lot went unsaid. Meghan has this whole crazy part of her life that’s just beginning now,” Adams, who’s married to Troian Bellisario, said in the same interview. “In some ways, Meghan and I were the closest because we were the youngest people in the cast and both came in with the least experience. We grew up together over the course of the show. There was this natural sense that we both knew that the time had come for both of us. It went unspoken and we just enjoyed the hell out of the last few episodes that we got to shoot. We both knew that we wouldn’t be coming back. It made every one of our scenes that much more special. We had a great time. We could laugh through it. Even the things that might have frustrated us about the show, they became things that we could have a good laugh about and compare notes on just how crazy this thing had become.”

The season finale of Suits will air Wednesday, April 25, on USA. Nearly a month later, the actress will wed Prince Harry in real life.
