The night was Heavenly Bridal. The 2018 Met Gala took place on Monday, May 7, and the stars ascended up the famed steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City in numerous wedding-worthy looks aligned with this year’s theme, Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.
The shades of white at this year’s fete ranged from Kendall Jenner’s pristine, cool white jumpsuit by Virgil Abloh (the newly-announced art director of Louis Vuitton) to Kate Bosworth’s gold-dusted custom gown by Oscar de la Renta, which brought back memories of the star’s 2013 wedding to Michael Polish. The model of the moment opted for a jumpsuit designed by Virgil Abloh for the fashion-frenzied event. Joining Jenner were sisters Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner, as well as momager Kris Jenner, who at one point attempted to adjust the back of Kendall’s off-the-shoulder piece, but was quickly brushed off with a simple, “Mom, stop!”
The Uptown Girls actress wore an off-white, Grecian-inspired, one-shoulder gown custom designed by Miu Miu for the occasion.
For her first-ever Met Gala, the Canadian model was truly glamorous in a strapless, corseted gown by Tommy Hilfiger. “The Met is the place where you can really dress so extravagantly and have as much fun as you want with fashion,” Harlow told E! News. Harlow paired the outfit with a headpiece comprised of feathers, orchids and lace.
The multi-hyphenate stunned in a white gown by Prabal Gurung that featured a thigh-high slit and bedazzled lining. “Tonight marks my eighth year in a row at the Met Gala,” the singer announced prior to the red carpet fanfare. Steinfeld elegantly topped her look with a regal crown and more jewels cascading down her neck.

The supermodel looked resplendent in a caped and draped gown by Diane Von Furstenberg paired with shoes by Louboutin.
The comedienne and her crown sparkled amongst the sea of stars at the fashion fete. Kaling opted for a sleeveless silver gown by Vassilis Zoulias paired elegantly with opera-length gloves in a deep blue color that accentuated the blue in her headpiece.
The American Sniper star shimmered in a white crepe top paired with a slinky and shimmery skirt all by Louis Vuitton.
One of India’s biggest actresses also attended the Met Gala on Monday night all dressed in white–paired, of course, with an intricate black and red headpiece.
The British model truly encapsulated the theme in a Ralph Lauren Collection gown featuring a cape. The entire piece included glittering Swarovski crystals, paired with an angel-worthy headpiece by the same brand.
