Now that is one proud future wife. Michael Phelps’ fiancee, Nicole Johnson, penned a beautiful post about her future husband after his record-breaking accomplishments at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro this past week.
Johnson, who shares 3-month-old son, Boomer, with Phelps, took to Instagram on Wednesday, August 10, to share an image of the swimmer leaning over the stands and greeting his family following his gargantuan victory on Tuesday night.
“I’m at an absolute loss for words,” Johnson captioned the beautiful family moment. “Couldn’t be more proud of@m_phelps00. He is the epitome of working hard, dreaming big and achieving the all American Dream. #myfamily #20 #21#25 #3down.”
Phelps is now the most decorated Olympian from the U.S. ever with 21 gold medals under his belt along with 25 overall medals. It was also revealed by Olympic historian Bill Mallon that Phelps has tied an ancient record from over 2,000 years ago set by the legendary Leonidas of Rhodes.

Johnson isn’t the only one to show support on Instagram for the amazing athlete. Baby Boomer also has his very own Instagram account — clearly run by adults — and it shows snippets of the little toddler cheering on his dad in whatever way he can.

The couple — who got engaged in February 2015 — celebrated their nine-year relationship last month. “So thankful to have met my better half 9 years ago today!” Phelps wrote at the time. “I love you so much @nicole.m.johnson …. So happy to be able to call you my best friend! And I’m looking forward to the future and watching our amazing healthy little boy @boomerrphelps grow!!”
The former Miss California added, “9 years ago today you walked into my life @m_phelps00. Who knew through all the ups and downs that 9 years later we would have started to build our family. I love you and I can’t wait for what our future holds!!”
