She’s going to be Mrs. Teller! Actor Miles Teller is engaged to girlfriend of four years Keleigh Sperry.
The Whiplash star proposed in South Africa on Sunday, August 20, while on a safari surrounded by lush wildlife. Sperry’s sister Christie Sperry York was the one to break the news on Instagram on Monday, August 21. “These two got engaged while on an African Safari over the weekend!!” the ecstatic sibling wrote. “Can’t believe the last Sperry girl is engaged! Love both of you guys to pieces and so incredibly happy for this new chapter in your love story! Now come home so we can celebrate.”
Accompanying photos show the couple joyously celebrating their newfound engagement with a shoot in the reserve as elephants roam in the backdrop. Sperry couldn’t get enough of her emerald-cut engagement ring and admired it in another shot with a lion looking on.

The safari was only one component of Teller and Sperry’s memorable trip: the couple also spent some time in the Seychelles. Teller and Sperry have yet to publicly address their engagement as they’re likely reveling in their romantic getaway.

The two started dating four years ago, according to a sign held by Sperry—“5/11/2013” to be exact.
Teller previously hinted at the depth of his relationship with Sperry even one year into dating. “I brought her to meet my grandparents. My grandma tweets my girlfriend,” he told Elle in 2014. “About who knows what. My grandparents have been married for 50 years.”
Their secret? “Respect the person you’re with,” Teller said. “My philosophy is, if I’m not happier when I’m with you, then there’s no reason for me to be with you. I’m happy on my own.”
