Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Teller. On September 1, actor Miles Teller married girlfriend Keleigh Sperry in a romantic ceremony in Maui, Hawaii.

The couple, who began dating after meeting at an Oscars after-party in 2013, were surrounded by their friends and family for the destination wedding. The location was chosen for its sentimental value to Sperry, who travels to the islands every summer with her family. “We both felt happiest there and wanted it to be a big part of our lives forever,” the bride told Vogue Weddings.

Despite getting married in a tropical location, the model opted to forgo a traditional beach-style wedding dress. Instead, she created a custom gown with designer Monique Lhuillier. “I wanted to keep it elegant and classic since our ceremony was in a church, but I also wanted there to be a light feel to the dress,” she said.

The groom, known for roles in films like Divergent and Whiplash, wore a custom Céline suit. His groomsmen wore Bonobos suits, while Sperry’s bridal party wore printed Reformation dresses.

The ceremony, which took place just before sunset, was followed by an outdoor reception that featured a 12-piece band. The bride then changed into an Oscar de la Renta dress for the jungle-themed after-party, where guests danced to music from a DJ late into the evening.

The after-party theme was likely a nod to the couple’s engagement in 2017. While on a safari in South Africa, Teller had their guide tie a piece of paper to a rose bush that read “5/11/2013-8/20/2017.” The dates represented the day they began dating and the day of their engagement. “I said, ‘This is the day you became my girlfriend, and today was the last day you woke up as my girlfriend,’” Teller shared.
