Moms know best. According to Tish Cyrus, on-again couple Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are better than ever, and that’s the way she likes it.
Tish, 50, addressed wedding rumors regarding to her daughter and fiancé while chatting with Mario Lopez on his radio show on Wednesday, June 21. “She is not eloping. She is not getting married. They are so freaking happy and living in Malibu,” the proud mom gushed. “She’s so happy, and she’s always like, ‘I don’t know why everybody wants us to get married. It’s so perfect.’”
The Cyrus vs. Cyrus: Design and Conquer star is in no rush for her daughter to walk down the aisle. “She’s 24… She’s got time,” Tish told the radio host.
Previously, Miley’s mom admitted that she’d love to plan her middle daughter’s nuptials. She’s well-aware, however, that the “Wrecking Ball ” singer will most-likely opt for an intimate affair. “Of course I probably would [want a big wedding]. She would never do that, I don’t think,” Tish mused. “She’s a simple, simple girl. I don’t think so… I want all my kids to have big weddings.”
For now, Tish couldn’t be happier with the couple’s reconciliation. The two broke off their engagement in 2012 only to reconcile in January 2016. Since then, the two have remained a united front. “I will say I love Liam. I’ve known him forever,” Tish told E! News in May. “[I] absolutely cannot be more obsessed.”
Earlier this month, Miley told Billboard magazine that her new single “Malibu” was inspired by her life with Hemsworth. She also addressed the couple’s reconciliation last year after their 2013 breakup. “I needed to change so much, and changing with someone else not changing like that is too hard,” she told the mag. “Suddenly you’re like, ‘I don’t recognize you anymore.’ We had to refall for each other.”
