While most of the world collectively swooned over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s full-on kiss at his Sentebale Polo Cup on Thursday, July 26, one immediate bystander decided to poke fun at the steamy smooch.
The world’s top polo player and Prince Harry friend Nacho Figueras nearly photobombed the moment when the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex went in for an impassioned kiss. Footage and photos from the comical interaction show Figueras offering up the trophy to teammate Prince Harry, but the royal was already preoccupied with some PDA with his wife.
The athlete posted a pic and added, “When you wished the trophy would turn into a violin.”
Figueras, the ambassador of Harry’s foundation Sentebale, diplomatically added a sweet note about the couple. “What an incredible love story,” he wrote.
In a separate interview with People, the polo standout described Markle as “lovely” and “wonderful.” He added, “I’m very happy for her, for Harry. They’re both lucky to have found each other and have this new chapter of their life.”
Together, Harry and Figueras won the charity match on Thursday. Both of their wives were on-hand to spectate their victory.
