Occasionally, wedding day snafus and mishaps make good stories, which was precisely the case for Clare Bowen.
The Nashville actress, 33, took to Instagram Tuesday, November 7, to share a comical moment from her first look session with her husband. Bowen married musician Brandon Robert Young in an outdoor ceremony (fittingly in Nashville, Tennessee), but one of the guests was too hungry to wait for the reception.
“It wouldn’t have been our wedding if someone hadn’t just taken a bite out of my bouquet,” Bowen expressed. “Horse Who Shall Remain Nameless is unimpressed here, as he had just been asked to quit eating the freesias until the party. There are hoof prints in my veil…”
Bowen’s rep confirmed to The Knot last month that the star, who plays Scarlett O’Connor in Nashville, married the artist at the Cash Family-operated Cedar Hill Refuge. The bride and groom’s close family friend John Carter Cash officiated the ceremony.

Ahead of the nuptials, Bowen worked with couture bridal designer Olia Zavozina, who’s based in Nashville, to co-create her wedding gown. The bride paired her elaborate piece, featuring a long train, with Jimmy Choo ballet slippers.
Alyssa Joy Valetta of Alyssa joy Photography documented the intimate occasion. The couple got engaged in December 2015 at the famed Grand Ole Opry.
