Tony award-winning Broadway icon Nathan Lane married his partner of 18 years Devlin Elliott in a quick ceremony at City Hall in New York City on Tuesday.
The 59-year old comedic actor’s November 17 nuptials were confirmed by his representative who told People Magazine, “Nathan and Devlin were married in a small ceremony in New York City this week. Everyone is extremely happy.”
Lane, known for his roles in The Birdcage, The Producers both on stage and on the big screen, and even Modern Family also recently published a children’s book with his 43-year old playwright and producer hubby Elliott.
Published on October 6 Naughty Mabel is about a high-strung French Bulldog residing in the Hamptons who cannot handle when her owners throw a party without her. A glimpse of Lane and Elliott’s home life can be found within the children’s book as well; the titular bully is modeled after the antics of the couple’s very own spoiled 9-year-old French bulldog of the same name.
Lane can be seen on the first season of FX’s new anthology series American Crime Story which focuses on the O.J. Simpson trial. Lane will be playing defense attorney F. Lee Bailey starting in February of 2016.
