Brody Jenner and Kaitlynn Carter are seriously all about the #islandliving. The newlyweds, who recently exchanged personalized vows before their friends, family, and loved ones on the tropical island of Sumba, just off the coast of Indonesia, are now soaking in the sun in the Maldives for their honeymoon.
Jenner, 34, and Carter, 29, shared images from their stunning resort Wednesday, showing off the clear blue waters and thatched grass huts that will be their home for the next few days.
“Worth the trek,” Carter captioned one particularly Instagram-worthy image simply. In it, she and Jenner wave up at what seems to be a drone while standing on the wooden deck of their bungalow. On either side of them is a personal infinity pool with what could possibly be a glass bottom (the clear waters are hard to distinguish between!) and an outdoor nook, complete with comfy pillows and cushions perfect for a sunset sip. Below them, the waters are a piercing blue.
Jenner even shared a photo of himself doing a backflip off a pier into the clear blue waters, with the simple hashtag: “#Living.”
In a post to his Instagram stories, the former reality star shared that he had opted out off his and Carter’s couple’s massage Thursday morning in favor of catching some waves. “She’s so bummed. Waves are pumping, though,” he says. “You gotta do what you got to do. Got to go shred.” He included a kissing emoji and his new bride’s Instagram handle in the post.
The couple have also been indulging in some of the fresh fruits and produce the islands offer, including ceviche, salad, and a fresh fruit drink. “Don’t mind if I do,” Jenner captioned one shot of his impressive spread on Instagram stories.
Just a few days earlier, the pair celebrated their marriage with 70 of their closest family members and friends (Jenner’s father, Caitlyn Jenner, wasn’t able to attend due to work obligations, and his half-sisters Kylie and Kendall were notably absent as well).
The weekend festivities kicked off with a jungle-themed welcome party for their guests on Thursday evening and continued on with a white party and traditional Sumbanese horse race the next day. On Saturday, they said “I do” at a scenic spot on the cliffs overlooking the ocean.
“She was the most beautiful bride I’d ever seen,” Jenner told People. “And the best part was having our friends and family to witness our special moment.”
Added Carter, “Saying our vows, I just felt so happy and excited. A lot of our guests cried. I didn’t cry, but my mom said Brody got teary-eyed when he saw me!”
