It’s real. Nick Jonas is engaged to Priyanka Chopra, he subtly confirmed to a fan, according to a new report from Us Weekly.
Jonas attended his fragrance launch for John Varvatos in New York City this week when one attendee walked up to the pop star to congratulate him on his recent engagement to the Bollywood megastar.
According to the mag’s eyewitness, Jonas replied, “Thanks, man.”
Chopra was scheduled to attend the event on Wednesday night, but she decided to celebrate the occasion instead on social media.
The Quantico actress has yet to confirm her engagement to Jonas publicly, though she addressed the buzz earlier this week during a panel in Delhi. “My entire life—my personal life—is not for public consumption,” she expressed. “Ninety percent of my life is for public consumption, but 10 percent is for me. I’m a girl; I have the right to keep that to myself.”
She has also played coy about revealing her engagement ring in public spots—as was the case in an airport several days ago. Chopra subtly removed a ring from her left hand before walking out of the Indira Gandhi International airport on Monday before the panel.
Jonas and Chopra got engaged in late July. “His friends and family have never seen him like this,” one source told People. “And they’re all really excited for him. He’s definitely very serious about her.”
