The daughter of comedian, actor, and former Saturday Night Live cast member Chris Elliott, Elliott was one of the youngest hires on SNL, starting her run on the show in 2008 at 21 years old. Elliott said in an interview with The Daily Beast in July that her spot-on impressions of Zooey Deschanel, Rachel Maddow, Anna Faris and Jewel may have lead to her being fired from late night improv show in 2012.

“I think when it started I sort of got pigeonholed into being the impression girl,” she told The Daily Beast. “I wanted to do characters and I tried out a bunch of characters, but for some reason they saw me as doing impressions and that was my strength—which I was totally fine with and I tried to cultivate that more and more. But now I’m not as interested in doing impressions as I used to be.”

In 2015 Elliott joined the cast of Bravo’s hit summer comedy Odd Mom Out and stole the show.

“I got into [Odd Mom Out] wanting to be an actress first and foremost, and a funny actress,” she told The Daily Beast. “With SNL, obviously I wanted to do it and I couldn’t say no. But I consider myself more of an actress than a comedian.”

On Odd Mom Out Elliott stars as Brooke, an Upper East Side “momzilla” who is a work of fiction akin to the drama of the network’s infamous Real Housewives series. Her character is a type-A perfectionist and trophy wife, who feigns interest in N.A.C.H.O., her New Yorkers Against Childhood Obesity charity – the ‘Y’ is silent – which funds gastric bypass surgeries for children of morbidly obese parents. Odd Mom Out is set to return for season two in the summer of 2016.

Kennedy is a writer for the Netflix original series House of Cards starring Kevin Spacey, as well as the 2014 comedy film Sex Ed. House of Cards returns to Netflix for its fourth season in 2016.
