After appearing as costars in the 2007 comedy-drama film, Charlie Bartlett, and many years of dating, One Tree Hill star Tyler Hilton and his actress fiance, Megan Park, married Saturday, October 10 in a low-key ceremony in Malibu Canyon, California.
The happy couple, who opted to keep their wedding party small, had a best man and a maid of honor at the ceremony, but there were no groomsmen or bridesmaids. Park’s Secret Life of the American Teenager costar, Shailene Woodley, was reportedly in attendance.
“We felt like there were so many people that we would want to have included in it, but we decided to sort of keep it simple and just have a maid of honor and best man and be happy that everybody else was there,” Park, 29, told Us Weekly.
After an indoor ceremony at the Triunfo Creek Vineyards, guests gathered outdoors for a fun, relaxing reception complete with a bluegrass band, a food truck, and ping-pong tables.
The new groom, 31, explained to Us that the couple regularly has barbecues with friends. “We just kind of were throwing a little party that we’d want to be at,” Hilton said.
But Triunfo Creek offers more than your average backyard setting. One reviewer states the site is “hidden back off a short private road” where “grounds open to a spectacular lawn, terraced vineyards over rolliing hills, and a building that might’ve been airlifted straight over from the Amalfi Coast in Italy.” It sounds like a little piece of heaven.
Hilton and Park met on the set of 2007’s Charlie Bartlett and announced their engagement in January 2014. One day after their wedding, Hilton shared a photo of himself dancing with his bride on Instagram. “About last night…I think I blacked out and married @meganparkithere,” he jokingly captioned the sweet shot. “She was beautiful, it was beautiful, life is just right…” Park did look beautiful in a her white bohemian wedding dress and flower crown.
With very busy schedules, Hilton and Park must have enjoyed this brief respite from reality before diving back into their careers. Hilton is currently promoting his new album “Indian Summer,” and Park will be co-starring alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in Central Intelligence, which will be hitting theaters in June 2016.
