Paris Hilton is a girl who knows she wants and how to get it, and when it comes to wedding planning, the hotel heiress’ approach is no different.
When asked on the red carpet at the iHeartRadio Music Awards Sunday how things are going for her impending nuptials (also of note: she told Extra TV in January that she plans to have not one, not two, but three weddings later this year), the multi-hyphenate had a few small updates. “My sister [Nicky] and I have been in New York trying on all the dresses,” Hilton, 37, told E! News. “Now, we’re just trying to figure out a date, but definitely this year and definitely close to home. We’re just trying to figure out which place.”
As for the wedding cake, however, Hilton said she’s already made a decision, and it’s a bit of a nostalgic one.
“Hansen’s cake,” she said confidently. “I’ve been having it since I was little for every birthday party. It’s the best tasting cake in the world.” The Beverly Hills-based pastry company has long remained a celeb-favorite.
Planning details aside, however, Hilton said she’s “never felt happier” than she does now, blissfully engaged to Zylka, 32—and the pair plan to revel in their excitement.
“I feel like I’m glowing and just feel … I don’t know, just like a woman,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “Just like an adult. Like, I don’t know. I feel like my life is finally just starting.”
Zylka similarly could hardly contain his feelings for his love, telling ET, “I think she’s one of the most intellectual women I’ve ever met, just taking advice from her in every aspect. I think the better question is what don’t you like and there’s nothing.”
The couple got engaged this past January while they were on a ski trip in Aspen, Colorado. Explained Hilton, “We were literally in Aspen, skiing on the mountains. So, it was just a huge surprise and so romantic.”
Hilton’s engagement ring cost $2 million. “The biggest challenge was the diamond,” ring designer Michael Greene previously told The Knot. “Getting a pear-shape diamond that has a special shape to it like this one… [Plus,] getting one that has the quality of this? I mean, this is top quality.”
