Take it from someone who knows the bride well. With Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding fast approaching, friends of the royal couple—including the bride’s Suits co-stars—are now considering the hard-hitting question of what to purchase for the pair who has, well, everything.
It turns out that Markle’s on-screen love, Patrick J. Adams, is one step ahead of the game. “We were trying to choose between like a blender or bread maker,” the actor, who’s married to Troian Bellisario, said to Entertainment Tonight Thursday, April 25. “You know something classy, like a good blender. Like a Vitamix, yeah. She’s gonna need a Vitamix for sure.”
Bellisario, meanwhile, jokingly suggested that she should get the couple a Roomba. “I’ll bet they don’t have one of those,” she said.
Markle, a wellness aficionado, even enjoyed a bridal weekend last month at the Soho farmhouse. Just last weekend, the couple announced their royal florist and their plans for sustainable arrangements to be featured throughout the ceremony and reception spaces at Windsor Castle.
Meanwhile, Adams played coy about whether he will be in attendance at the wedding itself. “Whether I’m there or not, the Vitamix is going to the wedding,” he said. He also told ET that he hasn’t been in frequent contact with Markle since filming wrapped. “I don’t even have her telephone number anymore,” he said.
The royal couple has yet to announce any registry information, though it’s highly likely that they will request charitable donations as opposed to gifts. In 2011, Prince William and Kate Middleton went the charitable route, raising a whopping $1 million divided between 26 organizations.
“Having been touched by the goodwill shown to them since their engagement, they have asked that anyone wishing to send them a wedding gift consider doing so in the form of a donation to the fund,” the pair announced at the time.
