He must be ready for football season. New England Patriots player Rob Gronkowski decided to intercept the traditional bouquet toss at a friend’s wedding this weekend—and annihilated the bride’s floral arrangement instead.
A guest recorded the bride and groom’s entrance when the newlyewds suddenly stopped walking across the dance floor. The bride then tossed the bouquet over to her husband when—out of nowhere—the team’s tight end intercepted the bouquet and smashed it onto the ground. (Don’t worry, the dance floor looked like it was easy to clean.)

Spiking is nothing new to the professional athlete, who already counts a record number of objects as part of the growing list of items he’s doubled over. They include a beer can, a Lombardi Trophy cake, an ice cream, a hockey puck, and even—a festive piñata. Flowers are also secondhand nature at this point for Gronk, who spiked a bouquet of roses while leaving a nightclub back in 2015.
This is the second known wedding Gronkowski has attended in 2017. Just last month, the player went to a wedding in Arizona with a former Patriots cheerleader as his date.
