Peter Pan is all grown up and getting married!
Jeremy Sumpter, who starred as the flying, pirate-fighting lost boy in P.J. Hogan’s Peter Pan film in 2003 has gotten engaged to his girlfriend Lauren Pacheco!
Instead of professing his love with a thimble for a kiss, the former Peter Pan proposed to his so-called Wendy with a gorgeous diamond engagement ring.
The 26-year-old actor who also appeared as J.D. McCoy on the high school football series Friday Night Lights popped the question on Monday, December 14, 2015.
The couple showed off the ring and shared their newly-engaged status by posting the same image on both their Instagram accounts late Monday night. Sumpter captioned the photo, “@laurentpacheco stole my heart… So I put a ring on her finger for it. #engaged.” Pacheco carried the heart theme over into her comment as well writing, “Best night of my life. I’m all yours @jeremysumpterofficially I love you with all my heart. #forever 12.14.2015”

A couple hours later, Pachecho shared a second, black and white photo of herself and her fiance sharing in a kiss outside, commenting only with hearts and engagement ring emojis.
The couple have reportedly only been dating since September, but knew each other prior to the start of their relationship.
Congratulations to Jeremy and Lauren! If their love is anything like Peter Pan, they’re in for lots of excitement and adventure in the future! Just watch out for pirates!
