Say hello to some serious bling! After confirming her engagement to financier James Matthews this week, Pippa Middleton emerged from their home in London on Tuesday, July 19, flashing her brand-new ring — and a mega-watt smile.
The future bride, 32, told photographers that she “couldn’t be happier” with the engagement. Kate Middleton’s younger sister dressed appropriately for the outing in a feminine, white lace dress paired with leather accessories.
The British beauty grinned as she clutched her keys with her left hand, while showing off her sparkling new diamond — an art deco-inspired, octagonal ring that was reportedly designed by London-based jeweler Robinson Pelham.

Engagement speculation swirled on Monday, July 18, when Pippa attended a charity event and suspiciously hid her left hand from photographers. Hours later, long-time royals reporter Richard Kay confirmed that Matthews had proposed in the scenic Lake District of northwest England.
The following morning, the couple confirmed the news directly to the Press Association. “Miss Pippa Middleton and Mr. James Matthews are delighted to announce they became engaged on Sunday, July 17 and plan to marry next year,” a rep told the outlet.
Pippa first made headlines in April 2011, when she served as maid of honor in her sister’s world-broadcasted wedding to Prince William. A Kensington Palace spokesperson also released a statement on Tuesday about Pippa’s engagement, saying: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are absolutely delighted with the news.”
Matthews, the chief executive at Eden Rock Capital Management, and Pippa briefly dated in 2012, before going their separate ways. They rekindled their romance this past January.
