Takin’ it to Twitter! President Barack Obama professed his love for his wife, Michelle Obama, after the first lady delivered a rousing speech at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, on Monday, July 25.

FLOTUS touched on moments of nostalgia as she shared with viewers why she’s standing resolutely beside presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

“I wake up every morning in a house that was built by slaves,” Obama told the crowd. “And I watch my daughters, two beautiful, intelligent, black young women, playing with their dogs on the White House lawn. And because of Hillary Clinton, my daughters and all our sons and daughters now take for granted that a woman can be president of the United States. So, don’t let anyone ever tell you that this country isn’t great, that somehow we need to make it great again, because this right now is the greatest country on Earth.”

The mom of two recalled one cute story about Malia and Sasha’s initial moments in the White House — and how they were surrounded by Secret Service agents. “I saw their little faces pressed up against the window and all I could think was, ‘What have we done?'” the mom of two cracked of her now-teenage daughters, who were 10 and 7 when their father entered the West Wing. “How well we managed this experience could truly make or break them.”

She brought some additional personal family anecdotes into her speech to drive her point home. “We challenge them to ignore those who challenge their father’s citizenship or faith,” Obama continued of her girls. “How we insist that the hateful language from public figures on television does not represent the true nature of this country. How we explain when someone is cruel or act like a bully, you don’t stoop to that level. No, our motto is: When they go low, we go high.”

The first lady also made her opinion about Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump clear on opening night with one simple line — and she didn’t even mention the real estate mogul by name.

“Don’t let anyone tell you that America isn’t great,” the political advocate told millions of viewers and attendees. “This right now is the greatest country on earth.”

She then eloquently described why she believes Clinton is fit for the presidency. “What I admire most about Hillary is that she never buckles under pressure, she never takes the easy way out, and Hillary Clinton has never quit on anything in their life,” Obama shared. “And when I think about the type of president I want for my girls and all our children, that’s what I want. I want someone with the proven strength to persevere, someone who knows this job and takes it seriously, someone who knows that the issues the president faces is not black and white and cannot be boiled down to 140 characters.”
