Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are celebrating one year of marriage on May 19, 2019. To commemorate an adventure-filled year, complete with a new addition to the family, the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex took to their Instagram account to share a slideshow from their trend-setting wedding.

“Happy one year anniversary to Their Royal Highnesses, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex!” the caption reads. “Today marks the one year anniversary of the wedding of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Their Royal Highnesses exchanged vows at St George’s Chapel within the grounds of Windsor Castle on May 19th, 2018. The selected song ‘This Little Light of Mine’ was chosen by the couple for their recessional. We hope you enjoy reliving this moment, and seeing some behind the scenes photos from this special day.”

An accompanying slideshow revealed rather intimate moments from the couple’s wedding day, including a snapshot of Prince Harry walking down a stairwell to the ceremony with his brother Prince William. A follow-up pic showed the groom jokingly “hitchhiking” to St. George’s Chapel, where the wedding ceremony was held.

Other pictures feature Markle greeting Prince Charles, who met her halfway inside the chamber of the historic venue, as well as the bride, sharing a moment with her mother, Doria Ragland.

It was an eventful day for the spouses (and tens of millions of viewers around the world, who tuned in live to witness the historic moment). After greeting their thousands of guests, the pair eventually retreated to Frogmore House, where they held their much more intimate, star-studded, evening wedding reception.

The couple has since moved from Kensington Palace into Frogmore Cottage, which is located a short distance away from their evening reception venue, where they now are situated with their newborn son, Archie Harrison. See other photos from the slideshow below.
