The Duchess wears Prada. Newlyweds Meghan Markle and Prince Harry joined Queen Elizabeth II for yet another event on Tuesday, June 26, this time for a party held at Buckingham Palace.
The Queen hosted an evening event known as the annual Queen’s Young Leaders Program, which is now in its fourth year. The program itself lauds a group of young people, ranging from ages 18 to 29, who are committed to improving humanity by addressing everything from environmental issues to educational access for those in need. Prince Harry was named the Youth Ambassador of the program several weeks before he married Markle at Windsor Castle on May 19.
“I guess you can say you’re stuck with me,” Harry told the group on Tuesday. “I, together with my wife, Meghan, look forward to convening young people from around the Commonwealth to hear your ideas, work with you to build platforms for you to collaborate and form partnerships, and continue to meet with many of you as we travel around in our work on behalf of the royal family.”
Markle chose a polished suit by Prada, which looked slightly similar to her Givenchy look at the Trooping the Colour several weeks ago. The new Duchess of Sussex proudly watched her husband deliver his speech as she sat near the Queen.
David Beckham and Sir Lenny Henry joined the royal family members at the event. Other guests included boxer Nicola Adams and model Neelam Gill.
Harry and Meghan just celebrated their one-month anniversary following a whirlwind past few weeks consisting of their wedding, followed by family duties, their honeymoon, and official work appearances.
