Another royal engagement is here. Princess Eugenie is engaged to boyfriend Jack Brooksbank, the Duke and Duchess of York announced Monday, January 22.
“Her Royal Highness and Mr. Brooksbank became engaged in Nicaragua earlier this month,” the proud parents shared in a statement. “The wedding will take place in the Autumn of 2018 at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor, with further details to be announced in due course.”

The wedding venue, of course, is the same spot where Prince Harry and Meghan Marble are due to wed on May 19, 2018.

Shortly after the announcement was made, the couple’s engagement photos were revealed. The sweet snapshots were taken inside the Picture Gallery at Buckingham Palace.

Eugenie also made sure to show off her ring, which includes a blush-colored center stone surrounded by a floral-inspired halo of diamonds.
As @MajestyMagazine just pointed out to me there is a striking similarity between Princess Eugenie’s engagement ring and her mother @SarahTheDuchess‘s engagement ring. How lovely pic.twitter.com/BW8hGb2Xs3

The piece has drawn comparison to her mother Sarah Ferguson’s ring, and, naturally, Kate Middleton’s sapphire piece from Prince William, which is similar in its shape.
More wedding details will be revealed in due course according to the British Royal Family.
