Now that Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo have made their public debut, the season 13 lead and her fiancé aren’t holding back, especially when it comes to the topic of the next Bachelor.

Fans of ABC’s smash dating franchise are abuzz over who will land the coveted role, and according to Lindsay, Eric Bigger should be a contender. “I think Eric would be great. He’s ready,” Lindsay, 32, tells The Knot and other outlets. “He’s out there now… He’s very in touch with his feelings.”

Abasolo, 37, couldn’t agree more. “I think Eric is a great guy [with] a great heart,” the Miami-based chiropractor says. “[A] very inspirational, motivational guy… I think he would make a great Bachelor.”

Bigger shared his feelings for Lindsay—the Baltimore native told her he was in love in the final moments of the season—and that act alone has been instrumental in positioning him to be the next potential lead. “I think he could definitely be ready to take on that challenge and find his true love,” Abasolo says.

Although it’s still up in the air as to who’s in the running, it’s crystal clear who isn’t. Sseason 20 Bachelor Ben Higgins says he’s not considering returning to the show after his recent split from Lauren Bushnell. “It doesn’t feel like a time in my life that I would be the best man possible for the women that would come on this season,” he said in a separate interview with Almost Famous podcast co-host Ashley Iaconetti. “A this point in my life, I don’t think it’s the wise thing to do.”

Lindsay maintains that Bachelorette runner-up Peter Kraus may not be up for the challenge due to his actions during her season. “You know, I complimented Peter on the pace that he’s taken, you know, in his journey with me.  And I think that that’s fine; he was true to himself and he stood by that, I mean, until the very end when he kept going back and forth,” she says. “But I feel like in this world, in this experience, you have to take a leap of faith, you have to take risk, you have to put yourself out there and he wasn’t willing to do it.  And he still seems to stay steadfast to that.  So, if that’s the person that he is, that’s great; it just doesn’t work for this and that’s what I was staying in regards to that.”

Instead, she names Alex Bordyukov as another solid suitor for the role. “You didn’t get to see enough of him,” she says of the Michigan-based IT specialist, 28, who was sent home in week six. “He’s funny, quirky, handsome and very, very smart.”

Lindsay adds that Bordyukov is a serial monogamist. “He has not been in a lot of relationships. He’s very focused [and] committed. I think he would be great,” she shares. Abasolo affirms, “I think he would be the most interesting season, for sure.” Lindsay adds, “And he can dance.”
