Sparkles with sincerity. Country singer RachealRaeLynn” Davis says her new single, “Diamonds,” was inspired by her very own engagement to her husband, Josh Davis.

Shortly after Davis proposed in October 2015, the season 2 Voice contestant started detailing her thoughts about her fiance in a song — which she now debuts exclusively on The Knot. “The day after I got engaged, I was looking at my engagement ring and how beautiful it was,” RaeLynn, 22, recalls. “And all I could think about was how much Josh meant to me — and that this ring would just be a ring without him.” She adds: “What makes it so special is it sealed a promise to the man I love for the rest of my life.”

The couple exchanged vows before 300-plus guests in a rustic Nashville barn wedding on February 27. “One of my favorite moments was the first look,” RaeLynn continues. “When I saw him in that gray suit, my heart melted.”

That wasn’t the bride’s only vivid memory from the wedding. “My other favorite moment was seeing his face as I was walking down the aisle,” she shares. “And saying our vows. I couldn’t help but cry, because it was such a beautiful moment. He means so much to me.”

At the reception, the bride and groom’s first dance will forever be one of the highlights from their wedding. “When I was 18, Josh played me a song by Steve Moakler called ‘Thing About Us,’ and we always said it was our song,” she says. “So, at our wedding, Steve Moakler came and did a live version. It was such a full circle moment.”

RaeLynn wants “Diamonds” to have that same impact. “When you meet the right one, you have to go with it,” she sighs. “Love is real. Love is the greatest gift God could give us. Just like ‘Thing About Us’ was my song with Josh, I hope maybe ‘Diamonds’ can be your wedding song [someday].”

There to witness the couple’s first dance was the bride’s Voice coach, Blake Shelton, who brought Gwen Stefani as his date. “I appreciate them because they are just so sweet to each other and supportive,” RaeLynn tells The Knot. “That’s so important in a relationship. Plus, I think they are so cute together!”

Shelton, meanwhile, continues to maintain his role as a mentor to RaeLynn. “I always send Blake new songs I write,” she notes. “It’s in my set. Every night on tour, I ask all the fans to bring out their phones and lighters and light up the stadium! It is such a beautiful moment, and I love it when Josh is there to see it!”

Those moments, after all, add value to their marriage and partnership. “My favorite part is having someone who always has my back. Josh is my best friend and doing life with him is honestly a dream. God really blessed me with an amazing husband… And I also think he’s the hottest guy in the world,” she laughs. “I fall more in love with him everyday.”

Listen to “Diamonds” above. RaeLynn’s debut album, WildHorse, is available for pre-order ahead of its release on December 2.
