Richard Gere is a married man. The Pretty Woman actor quietly married his girlfriend Alejandra Silva in a civil wedding ceremony in early April.
Spanish magazine Hola! was first to report the news of the nuptials on Monday, April 23. The publication also reported that the pair plans to celebrate their newly-minted marital status with a party next month at their home in New York City.
Gere, 68, and Silva, 35, first starting dating back in 2014. Silva, a publicist-turned-businesswoman, reportedly found common interest with Gere as human rights activists. She is the daughter of the former Vice President of Real Madrid FC, Ignacio Silva.
“I have found the quiet and happy life that I have always sought,” Gere told Hola!
This is the actor’s third marriage after his first to Cindy Crawfrom from 1991 to 1995. Gere also shares one son, Homer, 17, with Carey Lowell. The two were married from 2002 until 2016 when their divorce was finalized.
