This one goes out to the cruise-adoring brides and grooms! The Ritz-Carlton announced this week that it’s venturing into the high seas with the introduction of an upcoming ultra-luxury cruise line entitled The Ritz-Carlton Yacht collection.
Every ship will feature 149 suites and carry 298 passengers. Journeys will encompass the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and parts of South America, and Northern Europe. Each room includes a private balcony (since all boats should come equipped with bathrobes and a beautiful seaside view, yes?) and for those who want the ultimate Ritz experience: Private charter vessels are also available for booking.
The experience sounds like the perfect honeymoon alternative for luxury-seeking couples who appreciate the convenient offerings of a cruise—or for anyone looking to celebrate their love with an hyper-luxe experience. “This unique combination of yachting and cruising will usher in a new way of luxury travel for guests seeking to discover the world in a relaxed, casually elegant, and comfortable atmosphere with the highest level of personalized service,” the hotel company’s president and COO Herve Humler said in a press release.
Tillberg Design of Sweden, which is tasked with building out the ship’s aesthetic, is hardly new to the field having already worked with cruise lines like Norwegian and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
The food critics will also want a stake in the sailing experience. Michelin-rated chef Sven Elberfeld–whose Aqua restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton in Wolfsburg, Germany–has become a destination of its own, will oversee a restaurant on the ship.
TDoS is thrilled and honored to be given the unique opportunity to design the new ultra-luxury ships for Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, marking the first time a hotel brand goes to sea. With its long, sleek and elegant exterior, the Ritz-Carlton yachts are designed to turn heads, and will look like no other cruisers in port. The maiden vessel is scheduled to pull out of the shippyard in late 2019. Tillberg Design is looking forward to a great and inspiring collaboration with Ritz-Carlton. #tillbergdesignofsweden #TDoS #theritzcarlton #interiordesign #decor #interior #design #cruise #luxurytravel #yachtlife #superyacht
Finally, for those who want to unwind and revel in being pampered and primped: There will be a signature Ritz-Carlton spa for relaxation and more.
Eager passengers, however, will have to exercise some patience. Reservations open in May 2018 and the first sail will take place in late 2019.
