That’s a big ring. After Rosie O’Donnell officially confirmed she’s engaged to police officer Elizabeth Rooney, the comedian’s fiancée took to Instagram on Tuesday, October 23, to reveal a photo of her dazzling engagement ring.
Rooney posted a picture of her ring-adorned hand, including her perfectly manicured nails, holding a champagne glass with the bauble up front and center. “Y E S,” she wrote on social media.

The ring itself is a large emerald diamond center stone that includes a pave diamond halo and double shank band.
O’Donnell confirmed to People this week that she is, indeed, getting married again following weeks of speculation that the two were engaged. “She’s very much an equal,” the View co-host expressed. “She’s very much her own person and loves what she does. She’s a pretty unbelievable young woman.”
They have been dating since at least last November, when they first went public with their relationship. “I keep telling her I’m too old for her,” O’Donnell said in the same interview. (Rooney is 33 and O’Donnell is 56.) “But she doesn’t seem to care. She’s like, ‘I was in the Army! I put my life on the line every day you think I don’t know who I want to date?’ I’m like, ‘Alright I guess that’s true.’ She has a lot of good points.”
This will be the third marriage for O’Donnell, who shares five children with Kelli Carpenter and the late Michelle Rounds.
