Welcome to wife life. Following her weekend wedding, actress Samira Wiley shared the first photo of herself “wifed” up with Lauren Morelli on Sunday, March 26.

The Orange Is the New Black alum, 29, took to Instagram to post an adorable desert snapshot of herself posing with umbrellas with the Netflix series’ writer. In the pic, Morelli beams in a printed floral maxi dress, while Morelli poses in a preppy, navy and white striped dress. The newlyweds look ecstatic in the arid-but-beautiful climate after making things official.

That wasn’t the only inside moment Wiley posted from the memorable weekend. The actress followed up with a photo of a hilarious card from OITNB co-star Danielle Brooks. The card reads, “May you both not have your periods on your wedding day.” Wiley added in the caption, “Thank you… You get us.”

Thank you, @daniebb3. You get us. 🙏🏾

The couple, who got engaged last October, later recalled the proposal details to Out magazine. “We’d planned this weekend in Palm Springs. I’m pretty laid-back; if it’s five in the afternoon and Lauren wants to beat the traffic, I’m just hanging around,” Wiley recalled. “That day, I wanted to be good and get my packing done. She got home and was just not ready to go, and I was confused.”

Morelli then pulled out an engagement ring that was concealed inside the sofa. This is the first marriage for Wiley, while it’s the second for Morelli. The couple dated for three years before they got engaged last fall.

“Lauren has been married before, so I wanted her to tell me she was ready, [for] her to be the one to propose,” Wiley previously recalled to Out. “I didn’t know she was as ready as she was. I was completely shocked. I was crying uncontrollably and kept backing away from her. I asked her after, ‘Who knows about this?’ and she said, ‘Oh, everyone. Your parents know.’ We didn’t tell anyone else for a few days. That was really important to us–to have some time where it was just ours.”
