Even Miley Cyrus finds Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick’s relationship adorable.
The Voice coach — who filled in as guest host on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday, September 29 — was lucky enough to sit down with the beloved Sex and the City star for her first celebrity interview. Parker is returning to the small screen in a new HBO series called Divorce, which also features Thomas Haden Church and Molly Shannon.
“I’m so excited to see you come back to TV,” Cyrus told Parker on Thursday. “Now I have something to watch!” The “Wrecking Ball” singer went on to compliment Parker’s 20-year marriage to Broderick.
“You have such a great relationship and such a great family it seems,” Cyrus said Thursday. “I just love when you see someone who’s had their 20th anniversary … It’s incredible because sometimes, I feel like even I lose that hope of people. When you’re strong together, you can last. My parents have a very unique relationship so I took the show differently.”
Parker, who married Broderick in 1997, adorably replied: “I am in a long marriage and a really happy one, and we have a home that we find really satisfying.”
The couple are parents to three kids, 13-year-old son James and 7-year-old twins Tabitha and Marion. Later, while playing the “5 Second Rule” game, Parker also revealed a sweet tidbit about her husband’s sleeping habits. The actress shared that occasionally, Broderick will smile and reach for her while dozing away.
Cyrus, meanwhile, reconciled with her ex, Liam Hemsworth, earlier this year.
