It’s been quite the season for glitzy and opulent weddings this summer. First, there was the son of a Nigerian oil tycoon who married a model in England, followed by the gorgeous seaside nuptials of Swarovski heiress Victoria Swarovski. But what exactly happens when two Russian-Armenian scions marry in a Hollywood-themed ceremony?
The result–which was revealed across social media this weekend–was a lavish $10 million wedding held in L.A.’s famed Dolby Theatre, complete with Lady Gaga as the special guest performer.
On Saturday, July 1, Lolita Osmanova and Gaspar Avdolyan exchanged vows in the historic venue which hosts the Oscars each year, and the floral arrangements alone reportedly cost half a million dollars. According to the Daily Mail, the bride’s father, an energy tycoon, forked over $10 million for the West Coast nuptials.
The entrance of the Dolby Theatre was illuminated by a Gatsby-inspired, gold gilded wall that was accentuated by a crystal chandelier and the couple’s names—Lolita and Gaspar—in bright lights. The guests were dressed appropriately for the wedding, in Hollywood-approved designer pieces.
Like any true red carpet regular, the bride wore an intricate, off-the-shoulder gown by Zuhair Murad that included beads and a ridiculous train that billowed over the stairs of the venue. The ceremony space itself included a gold-coated floor that was accented by white and green floral arrangements on both sides. White roses lined the aisle and an entire wall was coated in matching arrangements.
Osmanova then swapped into a form-fitting white gown complete with plumage for the reception. The venue space was transformed into a decadent display of gold tables, fresh-cut flowers and candles illuminating the walls. Tall floral centerpieces comprised of red roses were surrounded by smaller centerpieces consisting of lavender and pink roses. The pair then sliced into their gold-coated 10-tier cake.
The highlight from inside the Dolby Theatre, however, was a musical performance by superstar Grammy winner Lady Gaga, who showed up clearly dressed for the Hollywood affair in a red gown. The singer gave live performances of her hits “Poke Face” and “Bad Romance.”
