Season 11 American Idol winner Phillip Phillips tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Hannah Blackwell last weekend in a Southern-style fairytale wedding.
Phillips, 25, and Blackwell, 23, confirmed their newlywed status on Twitter earlier this week, giving thanks to fans and followers after People magazine revealed details about their big day.
“Want to thank everyone for all of the wedding wishes! Can’t wait to share photos & video of all of the fun! Enjoying time with my wife,” Phillips wrote on Tuesday.

The couple exchanged vows in front of 250 guests at a property in Georgia on Saturday, October 24. The two exchanged personalized vows beneath a large oak tree. Blackwell looked beautiful in her Hayley Paige wedding dress while Phillips wore a Billy Reid tuxedo.
The couple took to Twitter again and later exchanged tweets about Blackwell’s gorgeous gown. The bride initially called out designer Hayley Paige in gratitude writing, “My @misshayleypaige wedding gown was the dress of my dreams. Timeless and perfect. Thank you thank you.” To which Phillips retweeted and commented with a heart-melting, “You looked amazing in it.”

A “Sneak Peek” video of the couple’s nuptials, shot by Phillips’ brother-in-law Todd Urick and posted to Phillips’ Youtube channel on Thursday, October 29, shows short clips revealing details of the newlyweds beautiful wedding. From Blackwell getting ready for hair and makeup, to the couple’s first looks, each moment is captured briefly before moving onto the next, following the sequence of the day.
Phillips and Blackwell joined for their first dance to “Dance with Me,” a song Phillips wrote with fellow musician and friend Tim Bruns; Bruns performed the song at the wedding while another friend of Phillips’ Dave Eggar accompanied the singer with his cello. The moment was captured by Jay Houston of Click Photography. Cellist Eggar was also joined by a guitarist and violinist earlier in the day, and the three played while Blackwell walked down the aisle with her father, according to People magazine.
The two have since returned from their honeymoon in Turks and Caicos, but it looks like they had a wonderful time according to Blackwell’s Instagram post on Thursday, October 29.
“So long honeymoon and Turks and Caicos. Hello future.” Blackwell wrote next to an image of the two paddleboarding in the turquoise ocean.
