Coming through! Selena Gomez finally made her red carpet debut with The Weeknd at the 2017 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala in New York City on Monday, May 1, and the singer chose a bridal-inspired piece for the occasion.
Gomez, 25, who recently made headlines for attending Disney Channel co-star David Henrie’s wedding, looked ready for the role of bride in a white chiffon slip dress embellished with clusters of shimmery appliqués. She accessorized the outfit with a matching clutch. The custom piece was designed by Coach creative director Stuart Vevers, and styled by Kate Young.

The 13 Reasons Why executive producer—also notably Vogue’s April 2017 issue cover girl—artfully paired her ensemble on Monday night with a pale pink eyeshadow and a choker. She parted her brunette tresses down the center for a sleek, ombre lob.
The Weeknd adorably styled his outfit in tandem with Gomez by sporting a floral brooch on the lapel of his sleek black tuxedo. While getting ready on Monday, Gomez teased the standout night ahead alongside a behind-the-scenes photo with Vevers.
“Because it should be fun and truly authentic,” she noted. The actress signed a reported $10 million deal to be an ambassador for the brand this past December.
