Right where she belongs. Tennis champion Serena Williams posted a rare PDA photo with her fiance, Alexis Ohanian, on Monday, April 17, during a trip to the beach.
The recently-engaged tennis superstar took to Instagram to share a sweet, new snap of herself taking flight in Ohanian’s arms. “My only regret is not pointing my toe sorry coach Garry,” the future bride expressed. In the photo, the Reddit co-founder grins as he lifts her up in the sand.
The dynamic duo fittingly took to Reddit in December 2016, to announce their engagement news, which came as a shock to her legions of devoted fans. The athlete later revealed that Ohanian had arranged for a romantic trip to Rome, where he proposed at the very same table where they first met.
Last month, Williams revealed photos from the special moment on social media. Ohanian’s proposal was complete with an outdoor, poolside table embellished with red roses and bubbly. The world’s top-ranked female tennis player added another photo to the slideshow, featuring the couple moments after the engagement–in the streets of Rome with Williams’ sparkling ring on display. “#tbt to “the day,” she expressed.

Like Serena, her family is equally thrilled to welcome Ohanian to the brood. Venus Williams spoke out last month about the engagement, telling People: “I’m so excited for Serena. She is so prolific on the court, but now I am happy to watch her prepare for her wedding!”
The bride, herself, has already been primed to plan. “I do event planning all the time actually,” Serena told Australian show The Project. “I do events every year. I do everything from the food to the looks to everything… I think, in a different life, I was a wedding planner. Or just an event planner.”
