Serena Williams Finds Inspiration In Bride’s Dress While Attending a Wedding

Future bride Serena Williams gleaned some inspiration for her upcoming nuptials while attending a wedding in Jamaica on Sunday, April 2.

In the days leading up to the seaside ceremony, Williams and her fiance, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, enjoyed some relaxation and fun in the sun on their tropical getaway. The world’s top ranked women’s tennis player posted a series of images, including sexy shots of herself in various swimsuits, while her fiance shared a beautiful shot of the sea.

As for their own wedding, the duo is keeping mum, preferring to keep their personal lives private. They kept their romance largely under wraps before announcing their engagement last December.

Williams fittingly took to Reddit to share the surprising news. “I came home. A little late. Someone had a bag packed for me. And a carriage waited. Destination: Rome,” the tennis pro wrote. “To escort me to my very own ‘charming.’ Back to where our stars first collided. And now it was full circle. At the same table we first met by chance. But by choice. Down on knee. He said 4 words. And I said yes.”

Williams served up a visual of her dreams for the future in a September 2016 interview with Self. “In five years, I’m on a boat or an island, sketching the latest collection,” she predicted. “Maybe there’s a baby, maybe a couple, we’ll see. I’m done traveling–I’m throwing away my passport. Yeah, I’m done with it.”

The Olympic gold medalist waited until February to start planning her upcoming nuptials, as she was busy training for the Australian Open, in which she won the final match against her older sister, Venus. “[In] February, I’ll start looking at the bigger picture of my life,'” she told Us Weekly back in January. “Right now, I’m just so focused that this is all I can think about.”
