The world may have just witnessed a high-profile shotgun wedding. Actor Shia LaBeouf married his longtime girlfriend, Mia Goth, in Las Vegas, on Monday, October 10.
The entire surprise ceremony, which took place inside the famed Viva Las Vegas chapel in Sin City, was live-streamed by TMZ on Monday afternoon. However, there’s no official documentation — yet — of the couple’s marriage license, leaving the public to speculate whether this is another one of the former Disney actor’s many stunts.
The ceremony itself featured an Elvis impersonator serving as the officiant. A hula dancer provided entertainment, and LaBeouf looked as if he was crying throughout the wedding. The groom wore a suit while the bride wore a lace white dress.
LaBeouf was moved to tears when he and his wife committed to “adopt[ing] each others’ hound dogs.” The actor’s mother also witnessed the ceremony, which ended to the tune of Bruce Springsteen’s “Hungry Heart.”
The stars first met four years ago while filming Nymphomaniac: Volume II. They made headlines last July when they got into a very heated fight in Germany, which was documented by a bystander.
