The real deal! Shia LaBeouf visited The Ellen Show on Tuesday, October 18, to discuss a variety of topics, including his recent Las Vegas wedding. The 30-year old actor assured Ellen DeGeneres that his October 10 nuptials were not a stunt, and that he and his bride, British actress Mia Goth, indeed got married.
“The plan was for it to be a private deal,” LaBeouf told DeGeneres. He explained that the duo exchanged vows at the Viva Vegas Wedding Chapel, and shared that a live video stream was included in the “King Tut” package.
“I said, ‘You know, we don’t really need that. As a matter of fact, we’ll just take a little private tape,'” the newlywed recalled. “We had our moms there. They said no problem.”

After returning home, LaBeouf and his bride got word that TMZ streamed their wedding. “So I called, and they said, ‘Somebody pressed the wrong button that sends the video to TMZ.’”
However, the former Disney actor sees the silver lining in having the wedding recorded. “[Our] dads couldn’t be there, so it was kinda nice to have them there in a way,” he said.

The wedding itself was very Vegas! The couple’s officiant was an Elvis impersonator, and a hula dancer entertained the newlyweds and their families. LaBeouf appeared to be emotional throughout the ceremony, and he welled up in tears when Goth committed to “adopt[ing] each others’ hound dogs.”
LaBeouf and Goth met four years ago while filming Nymphomaniac: Volume II.
