High fashion meets high society. This weekend, shoe designer Tabitha Simmons married financier Topper Mortimer at the Church of the Resurrection in New York City, a ceremony that was attended by the society, style and supermodel sets.
Simmons walked down the aisle in a statement piece by Dolce & Gabbana—a custom wedding dress featuring a dramatic high neck and a voluminous, ruffled train that paired perfectly with the tiered, partially-sheer, sleeved bodice of the gown. Of course when it came to accessories, the designer wore a pair of heels from her own namesake collection and a pair of earrings that fit in perfectly with her Victorian-inspired, Chantilly lace ensemble.
“What a very special day thank you to everyone that came to celebrate with us !!” Simmons expressed on Instagram. “Thank you @dolcegabbana @Stefanogabbana for my beautiful dress. I love you all so much.”
The couple hosted friends and family at their wedding reception, attended by the likes of singer Karen Elson, who is best friends with the bride. Actresses Sienna Miler and Liv Tyler, and supermodels Brooke Shields and Lily Aldridge were also invited to the festivities. Other guests included designers Georgina Chapman and Tory Burch, as well as celeb favorite Guy Oseary.
The groom, the ex-husband of Tinsley Mortimer of the Real Housewives of New York City, was supported by numerous members of his family at the nuptials. Designer Minnie Mortimer looked pretty in a Self-Portrait piece as she posed with her new sister-in-law.
The couple celebrated alongside their guests with a lunch at the Brook Club, one of the exclusive members-only clubs in New York City. They followed the lunch with a reception party at Dorrian’s on the Upper East Side.
