Aca-emotional. It was only a month ago when Skylar Astin and Anna Camp married in a rustic California wedding, but the actor will forever remember the vivid details and moments that took place on September 10.
In a new interview with People, the Graves actor, 29, described his reaction when he saw Camp, 33, walking down the aisle on their wedding day.
“Lots of tears,” Astin recalled. “Oh yeah, lots of tears.”
The Pitch Perfect costars exchanged vows in a picturesque outdoor ceremony at Sunstone Vineyards & Winery in Santa Ynez, California. It’s little wonder why the Speech & Debate actor is still reveling in wedding day memories. Event planner Tessa Brand helped the duo to create their ideal wedding day, and the result was nothing short of stunning. The picturesque venue – which reminded the couple of Tuscany – set the scene for the romantic nuptials, but it was the lovebirds’ adoration for each other that made their wedding day extra special.
“As a wedding planner, you get to witness many relationships — some good and some bad — and these two are truly meant to be together,” Brand told The Knot exclusively last month.
Now that he’s happily married, Astin appears to be going with the flow as far as plans for the future.
“I’m just looking forward to more of it,” he told People of his newlywed life. “Everything has changed yet nothing has changed at all … It’s just absolute bliss; I’m still on cloud nine. It was the best day of my life.”
After honeymooning in Italy, the newlyweds are finding a new version of normal back in the States. Camp is busy filming The Most Hated Woman in America – the story of American atheist activist, Madalyn Murray O’Hair, while Astin is gearing up for the release of Speech & Debate – an upcoming film about three high school students who revive their school’s debate club.
Despite their busy schedules, the adorable duo is finding plenty of time to reflect on their recent union. “Looking to see if my dress is white in the back. Yep. It is,” Camp captioned a recent Instagram image from her wedding day, surrounded by her wedding party. “I miss my dress,” she added.
