Good morning to everyone. Just in time for the holidays, Starbucks announced something that will completely change how you kick off your bachelorette, bridal shower and wedding weekends, because the coffee company is now expanding its delivery service nationwide.
The company, which first tested the idea in Miami, revealed Thursday that it’s partnering with Uber Eats to deliver fresh-brewed coffee, iced lattes, and other morning treats in partnership with 2,000 Starbucks locations nationwide.
With the delivery service, your wedding day timeline will be that much more convenient without much disruption in the order you had worked through so carefully. Your loved ones can simply enjoy their mornings while conveniently being caffeinated for all the day’s events ahead. (Imagine having everyone’s go-to coffee order delivered straight to the wedding suite as your bridesmaids get their hair and makeup touched up.)
The new service will also alleviate any potential morning-after hangovers during the bachelorette weekend. Or you might want to bulk order ounces of coffee for your bridal shower guests without having your sister spend extra time scrambling to pick it up.
The latest development will begin rolling out in spring 2019, the company’s COO Rosalind Brewer said, as it overlaps with an increased focus on digital initiatives given the success of mobile orders on the app. Data revealed that roughly about 51 percent of its sales were made within stores, while drive-thru orders comprised 37 percent of sales. Mobile orders, finally, increased from 5 percent in 2016 to 12 percent in 2018.
