When in Greece! NFL player Carson Wentz and his wife, Maddie Oberg, both revealed their new matching tattoos while in Greece for their honeymoon.
The prolific quarterback, who currently plays for the Philadelphia Eagles, took to Twitter this week to post photos from the couple’s romantic getaway to the Mediterranean. “Greece with my WIFE was [hot],” Wentz wrote, alongside a series of photos from their getaway.
While in Athens by the Acropolis, the pair showed off their new matching tattoos. Both husband and wife opted to etch the word “Agape” on their arms, which when translated from Greek, “Agape” means “God’s love.” (Both Wentz and his wife are devout Christians.)
Other photos from the couple’s honeymoon showed the pair enjoying an ATV ride on one island, and sharing a romantic meal overlooking the Aegean in another snapshot.
Wentz and Oberg married in a lake wedding ceremony in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, on July 14. Bystanders spectating the private event from the lake supposedly shouted the Eagles chant after the two were pronounced husband and wife.
Wentz proposed in February shortly after the Eagles won Super Bowl 52. “She said YES! And now Maddie and I both got us a ring,” he wrote at the time. “Can’t wait to marry my best friend! God is doing some amazing things and I can’t thank him enough!”
