Life got significantly sweeter for one ‘90s star this holiday season. Sweet Valley High actress Brittany Daniel announced her engagement to boyfriend Adam Touni via Instagram on Christmas Day.
“I said yes!” Daniel shared on Instagram, alongside a photo of her beautiful new sparkler gleaming against the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. “My world just became brighter today. #engagement #christmas #love #proposal#marinheadlands #family @adam.touni.”

Touni, an attorney and broker, echoed his future wife’s sentiments, writing: “She said ‘yes!’ In the words of my fiancé, @iambdaniel ‘Merry Christmas, y’all!’ #engagementring #engaged#christmasengagement #christmaspresent.”
Brittany starred alongside sister Cynthia Daniel on the beloved, ’90s television adaptation of Francine Pascal’s best-selling books. Naturally, Cynthia couldn’t resist from sharing the amazing news with her fans on social media.
“My sis @iambdaniel and @adam.touni are getting hitched!” she wrote. “I couldn’t ask for a better Xmas present. My heart is full of love for these 2 amazing people #soulmates #powercouple#engagement #letsparty #merrychristmas#lifeiscomplete.”

It’s been a whirlwind few years for future bride Brittany, who was diagnosed with stage IV non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2011. “It happened so suddenly,” the Dawson’s Creek actress told People in 2014. “There is is no way I would have ever gotten through this without my family. My family is everything to me and I feel like they saw me through this.”
