Another wedding for Anna Kendrick! The first trailer for Fox Searchlight’s Table 19 dropped on Thursday, July 7, and Kendrick’s character, Eloise, has to deal with some real wedding drama after she’s placed at the table designated for misfits.

Eloise, who was the former maid of honor at the nuptials, was relieved of her bridal party duties after she was unceremoniously dumped by her boyfriend, the best man, over a ridiculous text exchange.

“I got dumped by Francie’s brother, the best man, at that table,” she tells her seat-mates as she motions over to her ex-boyfriend. Later, she confronts her former flame (Wyatt Russell) and snipes: “After two years, you break up with me over text?!” she reveals, quoting him: “‘Good luck with your future endeavors.’”

She manages to give herself a pep talk, though, as she enters the venue. “It’s the same wedding,” Eloise sighs at one point. “It’s the same celebration no matter what table you’re at.”

According to the film’s synopsis, while the guests at Table 19 don’t seem to have much in common initially, there’s a deeper bond that the group will forge. Somewhere in between, Eloise finds a possible romance with a fellow guest, Dermot Mulroney look-alike (Thomas Cocquerel).

Cocquerel spoke to Daman magazine about the film this past February. “Table 19 is a romantic comedy about the guests at a wedding that you hope won’t turn up, all still arriving and sitting at the same table. I play a mystery guy of sorts called Huck, who turns up and takes a fancy for Anna Kendrick’s character,” he said. “It’s a really fun movie with an amazing cast.”

Other stars include June Squibb, Lisa Kudrow, Craig Robinson, Stephen Merchant and Tony Revolori. The film, which was directed by Jeffrey Blitz and co-written by Jay and Mark Duplass, will premiere on January 20, 2017.
